What To Expect
In 15 minutes, we’ll confirm the basics (temperature range, timing, locations, and handling constraints) and recommend the simplest path that protects the payload—whether that’s shipping, packaging, storage, or a combination. If it’s a fit, we’ll align on next steps and give you a clear quote timeline.
We plan shipments from requirements backward: temperature range, duration, handling constraints, and lane realities. You get a single owner coordinating pickup, carrier handoffs, tracking, and exception response. We don’t rely on “hope it holds”—we align packaging selection, conditioning, and monitoring to the shipment profile. If a risk appears (delay, weather, scan gap), we escalate early and act fast. After delivery, records are organized and easy to retrieve for QA and operations.
Packaging performance depends on more than a spec sheet—it depends on packout, conditioning, and lane assumptions. We help select the right configuration for the temperature range and duration you’re targeting, then align SOP packout steps so performance is repeatable. If you’re using your own packaging, we still support a qualified packout workflow and monitoring approach. The goal is consistency: the same inputs produce the same outcome across teams and shipments.
Storage is only valuable if receiving, handling, and outbound are controlled and documented. We receive inventory with defined checks, store under the required temperature conditions, and support pick/pack/ship with traceability. When product moves out, execution is coordinated the same way as shipping—visibility, exception response, and clean records. If you’re managing multiple sites or frequent outbound to trial sites, the operational consistency is the point: fewer surprises, fewer escalations.
Control Tower is built for real operations: tracking, exceptions, and records in one place. Instead of hunting across emails, portals, and spreadsheets, you see shipment status, key milestones, and anything that needs attention. It’s also where shipment records live for later retrieval—so QA and ops aren’t rebuilding the story after the fact. The result is simple: fewer “where is it / what happened” cycles and faster closes on open loops.
A real owner for your cold chain, not a call center
When you work with Tempcontrolled, you get a Dedicated Operations Coordinator who owns your account day to day. That means one person accountable for execution: coordinating shipments, confirming packout readiness, monitoring in transit, and responding fast when something deviates from plan. You’re not routed through a generic help desk—you have a direct line to the person who knows your lanes, requirements, and priorities. Operationally, this is what reduces friction: faster answers, fewer handoffs, and tighter control when timelines matter.
- One point of contact who knows your requirements
- Faster escalation and clearer accountability
- Less time spent chasing updates across systems
Records that are organized and retrievable
After execution, we organize shipment records so your team can retrieve what they need without digging through email threads. Exact contents vary by service and shipment requirements, but documentation commonly includes items like shipping documents, temperature monitoring outputs, chain-of-custody or handoff records where applicable, and packaging/packout references tied to the shipment configuration. If you have specific QA or sponsor requirements, we’ll align to them up front and confirm what will be included.
