Keeping life-changing medicines on time and in range

Tempcontrolled is a pharma cold chain logistics company. We provide temperature-controlled shipping, qualified packaging, and GDP storage and distribution so that every sample, dose, and patient kit arrives in range, on time, and inspection-ready.

Our Purpose

We believe patients feel every failure in the cold chain, even when they never see it.

That's why we protect what you can’t afford to lose – for sponsors, sites, and ultimately, patients – by running qualification, execution, and documentation as one system.

We protect temperature integrity, end-to-end

We design, qualify, and operate temperature-controlled packaging, storage, and transport as one integrated system. From lab freezers to clinical sites, we focus on maintaining the right conditions—not just booking a shipment.

Quality and logistics, on the same team

In biopharma, quality and logistics can’t be separated. Our processes align with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) principles and other applicable standards, with SOPs, CAPA, and documentation built into how we plan, execute, and monitor every move.

Built for biopharma innovation

We serve companies developing complex, sensitive products: biologics, cell and gene therapies, diagnostics, and trial kits. Our job is to remove cold chain as a bottleneck so R&D and clinical teams can move faster with confidence.

Cold chain is an ecosystem

No shipment moves in a vacuum. We collaborate with sponsors, CROs, CDMOs, depots, and carriers to make sure packaging, paperwork, and process stay in sync. When something goes wrong, we don’t point fingers—we fix it and retrofit the system so it doesn’t happen again.

Our Team

We’re a team of operators, quality leads, and customer experience specialists who live in the details of life sciences logistics. We come out of specialty logistics for time- and temperature-sensitive shipments, and we’ve built Tempcontrolled around the real constraints of biopharma sponsors, labs, and clinical sites.

Quality & Compliance

We design and maintain the quality system that underpins everything: SOPs, training, deviations, CAPA, change control, and audit-ready records. The mandate is simple: no shipment is important enough to cut corners on temperature control or documentation.

Operations & Logistics

Our operations team manages the day-to-day reality of cold chain: pack-outs, pickups, linehaul, handoffs, customs, and final-mile delivery. They’re responsible for staying ahead of weather, capacity, and lane-level quirks so your shipments stay on track.

Technology & Data

We build and integrate tools that give you visibility and control: shipment tracking, temperature data capture, exception alerts, and AI-assisted quoting and planning. Our goal is to make complex shipment decisions faster, safer, and more repeatable.

Customer Experience & Growth

This team owns the relationship with you—sponsors, labs, and clinical sites—and makes sure every interaction with Tempcontrolled is clear, responsive, and grounded in your protocol needs and patient timelines.

What we value and how we act

Every day we make decisions that affect therapies, timelines, and patients. These principles guide how we work together and how we show up for customers.

Obsess over the small stuff

A few degrees can decide whether a batch is usable or lost. We design processes, packaging, and technology to respect that reality. If there’s doubt, we investigate. If there’s risk, we mitigate.
01

Start from the patient, work backwards

We treat every shipment as if it links to a real patient, not just a tracking number. When trade-offs arise—speed vs. cost, complexity vs. simplicity—we ask what best protects the therapy and the people depending on it.
02

Make complex logistics feel simple

Cold chain is inherently complex. Our job is to absorb that complexity and present clear options, clear communication, and clear outcomes. If something is confusing for a customer, we treat that as a process defect to fix.
03

Build trust through transparency

Deviations happen. Weather shifts. Flights cancel. We don’t hide problems—we surface them early, explain what’s happening, propose options, and document everything. Long-term trust matters more than short-term convenience.
04

Improve every shipment

Every lane, pack-out, and exception is a chance to make the system better. We look for patterns in deviations, transit times, and site behavior, then adjust SOPs, training, and packaging so the next run is more robust.
05

Act like owners, not vendors

We take responsibility for outcomes, not just tasks. If it’s in our lane, we own it. If it’s not, we help coordinate. Everyone has the mandate to raise issues early, ask hard questions, and push for the safest, most reliable solution.
06

Safety and compliance are non-negotiable

We exist in a regulated environment for good reason. We design our work to meet or exceed relevant GDP and GxP expectations, and we treat audits, inspections, and corrective actions as opportunities to raise the bar—not box-checking exercises.
07

Governance

Tempcontrolled is a privately held, founder-led company based in the United States. We focus on building a durable, quality-driven logistics platform for life sciences, not a generic freight network.

Our governance and oversight practices include:

  • Quality management system (QMS): Documented SOPs, training, deviation management, and CAPA to support GDP-aligned operations.

  • Temperature-controlled infrastructure: Validated packaging and storage, with documented pack-outs and environmental monitoring.

  • Vendor and partner oversight: Qualification and ongoing review of carriers, couriers, and service providers involved in your cold chain.

  • Data, privacy, and security: Protection of shipment, patient, and sponsor data through secure tools and controlled access, aligned with relevant privacy and security expectations.

  • Continuous review: Regular internal reviews of performance, deviations, and customer feedback to guide investments in people, process, and technology.
